Pedalling to the Park
Details
Perfect weather for a gentle roll up to Centennial park, and do a few laps ( or the full Dawdle) - depends on wind direction, mood, coffee deficit, a democratic vote, then wend the way back fully aspirated and virtuous from athletic achievement. Meeting at Pioneers park at the usual spot, for an 8:30 roll out. Route is to Asbestos alley and thence onto Anzac Bridge, and follow the bike paths to Oxford Street via Liverpool Street and from Taylor Square taking the Bourke Street cycleway to Devonshire street and across the Tibby Cotter Bridge..into Centennial park. Once in the park a regroup will be held to determine how and when the coffee stop will proceed, and how vigourous the peloton if feeling towards route and hill choices. Return will be the reciprocal of the outbound leg, so this is generally regarded as an easy ride. Bring your well maintained and roadworthy bike, with sufficient spares you think necessary ( spare tube and pump levers spanners etc) any extra food you might like ( won't be needing gels for this one) a phone ( regarded now as essential kit ) and yourself in good form and fit for purpose.
