Guildford Historic House Linnwood via M4 Return Via Rookwood

We can celebrate the opening of the Metro to Hurlstone Park by meeting at HURLSTONE PARK METRO CAR PARK IN FLOSS ST (several other options of transport also available). We will join the Cooks Rr Cycle path from here, ride to Bicentennial Park then onto the M4 cycleway to GUILDFORD to visit the HISTORIC LINNWOOD HOUSE FOR THE OPEN DAY. Here you have a choice of paying $5 entry to view the house, and exhibits and buy a Devonshire Tea OR stay outside and look at all the Historic Mercedes Benzes & various American cars. I hope there will be a coffee cart, Bar-B-Que & Mr Whippy on the front lawn!
After the merriment we will return via roads through BERALLA & LIDCOMBE TO ROOKWOOD CEMETERY, rejoining the Cooks River cycleway back to Hurlstone Park. There is the option of taking the train from Guildford if you do not want to return via the roads.
Riders should be confident on roads and in traffic. A mix of cyclepath and roads.

Riders must be a 2026 financial member ($10 cash on day accepted). (First time riders can trial a ride and will then be asked to join)
Please be considerate to others. We are frequently over-subscribed for rides with waitlists. If you don't think you can make a ride, please cancel during the week well before the night before to give someone else a chance to ride
PLEASE CHECK METRO/TRAIN TIMES. THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF TRACK WORK.
Please have a bike in working order, wear a helmet, carry a spare tube and pump, bring water and snacks.
