Highlands to Lowlands day-trip
Details
Suitable for fit or electrified fast-ish riders who can amuse themselves on TWO long train trips!
BIG train trip, then ride 66 fast-ish, scenic km (few stops), then BIG train trip.
We catch the 2-carriage railcar at Campbelltown P1 towards Moss Vale at 8:44, but access it early to ensure OK storage of bikes.
We alight at 10am at sleepy Burradoo, and ride 30 undulating km east to the renowned Robertson Pie Shop. The last 5km is mainly uphill, gaining 150M.
After pies etc., we head south with an initial descent, then flat-ish, then a biggy: descending almost 500M in 5km. Then gently into Jamberoo & flat-ish into Minnamurra for the preferred 2:02 train north, or refreshment stop and the 3:02. Trains take 2 hours to Central, so we're there at 4pm+ or 5pm+.

Bring bike in good working order, 2 spare tubes, pump, toolkit, helmet, water, sunscreen.
The ride will be cancelled or radically changed if weather unsuitable (rain/heat/wind). Monitor Meetup for possible change.
Contact leader, Richard, 0428 640 975 if not well known to him or doubts/queries about the ride.
P.S. The 4-person cap reflects the rail-car storage issue. If you can appear at Burradoo WITHOUT catching that railcar, contact leader. E.g. enjoy riding in Bowral - Moss Vale area on the Thursday & stay overnight.
