Since many may want to go on the Skull Valley rides this weekend we'll do a shorter ride today. This ride starts at the Mike Fann Community Skate Park which is across the road from the Museum of Indigenous People. The route will go up Senator Highway to Haisley Rd, then on Copper Basin Rd to Highland Ave, Country Club to Thumb Butte Rd and on up to White Rock (where there actually is a white rock!). On the way back we'll go down Idylwild Rd and over to Gurley and more or less straight back through town to the start.

The route is all paved and is over 15 miles with about 1300 feet of climbing.

Freewheelin' Friday rides seek creative routes in the quad city area. They are on mostly paved roads and have varying distances and elevation gain. We ride at a moderate pace, regroup several times and don't leave anyone behind. We start the ride as soon as all those who have signed up have arrived and are ready to go.
