Bike Prescott Southern AZ …. Winter 3 Day Tour
March 11-14, 2026 Wed-Sat
In March 2026 Bike Prescott will head south in search of early spring flowers and warmer weather. We will stay in Tubac, AZ which is known for its vibrant art scene and rich history. Each day, we will get on our bikes and take advantage of the great low traffic roads. After riding, we’ll be free to check out the area’s wealth of other interesting things to see and do.
Tubac and the vicinity is a popular vacation destination for the cooler month of March, so please don't wait to make your reservations! Hope you can join us on this new adventure.
Itinerary Overview:
Arrival Day, Wednesday, March 11, Check-in near Tubac, AZ
Day 1, Thursday, March 12, Calabasas Park. 2 ride options starting in Tubac: a 44-mile route with hills and a relatively flat 37-mile route. After the rides, we plan to have lunch at Tubac Deli and Coffee, popular with cyclists. 6pm – A welcome Pizza Dinner for riders and non-riders (Please let me know if you will be attending by March 1st so we can make reservations).
Note: At 2pm, an optional 45min docent-led tour that offers insight into the town’s creative spirit and cultural heritage at the Tubac Center of the Arts will be held for Bike Prescott**.**
Day 2, Friday, March 13, Arivaca. One of the oldest settlements in Arizona and known for birdwatching and art. Meet in Arivaca Junction at the Amado Market. Park along I-19 Frontage Road across from the Longhorn Grill and Saloon. This is about a 10-minute drive from downtown Tubac. 2 Ride Options: a 51-mile and a 46-mile. Both routes stop at the Arivaca Mercantile, a ramped-up convenience store or a tempting lunch option.
Day 3, Saturday, March 14, Madera Canyon**.** Known for hiking, birdwatching and its unique ecosystem. Meet in Sahuarita, about a 20-minute drive north of Tubac. A 27-mile out-and-back. The ride is a gentle uphill slope until the last few miles which ramps to the low double digits. At any place you decide to turn around, it is downhill on your way back. Let’s meet for a farewell brunch/coffee/lunch at the start, Posada Java, after you finish.
