Details
McCarver is out of town, so I’m borrowing Wayne’s two loops route. Start from the new trailhead on Pioneer Parkway. The ride is 46 miles with 3000' of climbing. Park at the trailhead parking lot on the north side of Pioneer Parkway midway between Williamson Valley Road and the Commerce St traffic circle, about 1 mile east of Williamson Valley.
The route is up Pioneer Parkway, left on Williamson Valley, right on Iron Springs, left on Sierra Peaks. Through the gate to Idyllwild, right on Thumb Butte, to White Rock. Back down the hill to Hassayampa, to Copper Basin, left on Highland, left on Country Club to the bowling alley, then Gail Gardner to Williamson Valley to Pioneer Parkway. Left on Willow Creek, right on James through the airport to Deep Well. Then to Kalinich and turn around and head back 89 to back to the trailhead.
Helmets required, lights highly recommended, E-Bikes welcome.
