Pace: Moderate Distance: 20 mi. Elevation Gain: 1100+ ft. Regroup: Probably a lot

Because I'm leery of the predicted weather I've created a ride where we can hightail it back to the start if needed. Also this will be a ride exploring some neighborhoods to see what new parts have been built so we may deviate a bit from the created route. It will start at Kayla's Hands playground on Commerce Dr, go down to Willow Creek Rd, then out to the Saddlewood development area. We'll poke around a few streets, then go to Pioneer Parkway and up to the newish trailhead (restroom available there.) Then back down Pioneer Parkway to the Pinion Oaks area and around the Embrey Riddle area. This ride will be on the moderately slow side but there will be several spots where you can cruise for a distance at a faster speed.

Freewheeling Friday rides seek creative routes in the quad city area. They are on mostly paved roads and have varying distances and elevation gain. We ride at a moderate pace, regroup several times and don't leave anyone behind. We start the ride as soon as all those who have signed up have arrived and are ready to go.
