Start your New Year off by joining us on Bike Prescott's traditional New Year's Day ride to Bartlett Lake (now Sunday, January 4th due to weather). We have two ride options for you - the classic road ride and a mountain bike ride (MTB). If you’re doing the MTB ride, please, sign up on the separate post so we can get a head count.

The park claims they will be open. If not find a place to park your vehicle and make your way to the start of your ride. We will still have our picnic at the park when we have finished riding.

Option One is the original ride which starts at the Desert Awareness Park in Cave Creek and goes to Bartlett Lake. This is about 42 miles with 4200' of climbing.

Ride with GPS Link

Option Two is a MTB that starts at the Pima/Dynamite Trailhead also at 10 a.m. See the separate post for more details. NOTE: If you want to ride an e-bike, you need to request an exception at 480-312-4444.

Anyone can adapt either route to suit themselves. For example, make Option One easier by not make the final descent to the lake.

The rides are out-and-back so we can all watch out for each other along the way. After our rides, we will gather for a picnic at Desert Awareness Park. Please bring something to share. You also might want to bring a chair. Bike Prescott will contribute sparkling water, beer, plates & silverware.

Helmets required, lights highly recommended, E-Bikes welcome. For more information check out our Safe Group Riding Guidelines.
