Tour de Wednesday - S. Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Rio Salado Pathway and lunch
Details
Warmer weather, no hills, bike paths, and a lunch stop! Please join me as we repeat this new take on a favorite route I have put together as I act as substitute ride leader for Wayne. Most of the ride will be on protected bike paths, with a few city streets with bike lanes. We'll start at Chesnutt Park at 4565 N. Granite Reef, just north of Camelback in Scottsdale. I'm changing the route a a bit as we'll start our ride by heading up to Paradise Valley and then wind our way to the Rio Salado Pathway with a stop at - Little Miss BBQ!!!! https://littlemissbbq.com/
Apologies to the non-carnivores. The detour to lunch does require a short stint (less than 1/10 of a mile) on a sidewalk to avoid the busy University Drive. After lunch we will head back to the pathway and return to the park a different way. If all goes well I will add a ride with gps link shortly before the ride.
Total distance of about 50 miles and 1300' of climbing.
