It's a holiday so hoping we can get some working folks to join us on this favorite gravel ride. This is one of the smoothest gravel roads in the area, but the climbing still makes it challenging. Take a left off of Highway 169 onto West Cherry Creek Road (NOT OLD CHERRY ROAD) and go about 1.3 miles till you see a dirt parking area on your right where West Cherry Creek Road intersects with FR 96. We'll take Cherry Creek Road where the first several miles are paved and then it will turn into a gravel road. We'll check Cherry on our way to highway 260 and Camp Verde. There is a convenience store at the turn around spot where we will regroup and take a break. Then we'll head on back the way we came. It's about 32 miles and 3300' of climbing with the biggest climb on the way back. Very scenic ride that you won't want to miss.
Helmets required, lights recommended, e-bikes welcome.
