Peavine Mountain Bike Ride with Side Trips
Details
Thursday will be cooler! 👏Come out for a casual mountain bike ride on the Peavine Trail with some fun side trips. Starting at the north Peavine trailhead off 89A, we’ll head south directly down to the Hobbit Trail and take Soggy Bottom to loop back to the Hobbit Trail and return to the Peavine. Continuing south, we’ll turn right on the dirt trail to head toward Watson Lake Park. (At the boat launch parking lot, restrooms are available.)
From here, we’ll get on the Circle Trail and follow it up to the pavilion, then back through the parking lot to reverse our course to the Peavine. Next it’s north to the Headwaters Trail off of the Peavine. Avoiding the construction, we’ll turn right off the Headwaters and onto the little subdivision trail that’ll take us directly to the Red Tail and down the fun switchbacks. Then, it’s all downhill back to our cars. You’ll want mountain bikes or e-bikes for this one – It’s a casual and fun ride with some challenges that you can easily avoid. 17 miles and only 700’ of climbing.
