Just like old times, I’m back to lead this week’s ride in Linda’s absence. I’ve chosen one of my favorite routes, Old Black Canyon, for us to enjoy. This is a GROUP ride where the average pace will be around 12-15 mph. Riders are expected to stick together as much as possible, as this is not a Time Trial ride.
From the Starbucks parking lot off Glassford Hill Road, we’ll make our way toward Stoneridge Drive and Old Black Canyon Road to Quailwood Park. Taking Fain Road to Lakeshore Drive, we will visit Superstition Hills before returning to our starting point.
The route is 25 miles with just over 1200 feet of climbing.
Truckin’ Tuesday rides are geared toward intermediate riders and those seeking a moderately challenging ride. Routes are on paved roads in Prescott and the surrounding communities. Rides vary in distance and degree of challenge each week, are at an easy-to-moderate pace, have regroups and stops as required, and are no-drop. Rides start at the posted times and all who have signed up should arrive early and be ready to roll on time.
