To Olde Town thru a Grove

Details

Join us for a casual ride from King Farm to Olde Town Gaithersburg. We will bike about 8.5 miles thru the historic community of Washington Grove and briefly visit the Gaithersburg Railroad Station: https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/about-us/city-facilities/gaithersburg-community-museum/community-museum-building-history#ad-image-0. Unfortunately, the museum will not be open. We will continue through Olde Town and stop for a refreshing beverage at Saints Row Brewing: https://www.saintsrowbeer.com/

Our route will take us briefly on MD 355 which has a sidewalk and Shady Grove Rd which has a bike lane. We will also ride on Oakmont Ave which can be busy, but most of the ride is on neighborhood streets and little-known cut-through paths.

This is the Ride with GPS map of the route:

• HELMETS ARE REQUIRED for all riders on every ride.
• We strongly recommend you bring a water bottle, spare tube, cell phone, ID card, and cash or credit card for emergencies.
• Rain at start cancels the ride; Wet pavement does not.
