NC500 Scottish Highlands

Details

NC500 Scottish Highlands bikepacking/cycle touring. experienced level
Do not book your ferry just yet as ferries and trains may change times. But be advised trains in Scotland get booked early and quickly with bikes.

We will be catching the ferry from Belfast to cairnryan then the train from cairnryan up to the start of the NC500. I want to do this before the tourists start coming as well as the midgies. The train journey itself is beautiful and we will be in the special cyclists carriages that are provided just for cyclists from Glasgow up. This spectacular cycle ride has gradients that are for experienced cyclists and a good level of fitness is required.
It is requested that you do at least one event with the group before you go.
You will need to provide your own camping gear sleeping bag and food. You will be self sufficient. Your bike must be in good working order have lights, and you must bring spare tool and inner tubes/ equipment required to repair your bikes. You must also wear a helmet.

distance and elevation of the journey is available to those members who are serious about going.
There is also a trip to Spain coming up 2024 those interested can message me
