Third planned ride out!
Yet more fun in Surrey! :)
*Ride Brief*
No drop marking, no tail gunning. Ride your own ride. Want to race ahead to tackle some twistys with a clear road in front? Go for it! Navigate yourself to the stops! Ideally all riders should use their own Nav/Phone, however, riders can buddy up if they'd like to follow someone using helmet comms, if anyone wants to lead one or more riders, go for it! This isn’t a classic group “procession” ride with fixed ride leader, drop marker(s), or a tail gunner. This worked well on our previous Saturday ride outs. We break up a large group of riders into clusters of 4-5 riders to keep the ride progressive.
*You’re responsible for: -*
1) Your own ride and your own safety, stay legal and ride within your limits.
2) Tax, MOT, and insurance must be valid. Any bike with tyre issues, faulty brakes, or known safety issues must be made roadworthy before joining the ride.
3) Pre-ride checks, do your POWDERRSS (https://tinyurl.com/powdderrs).
4) Being prepared, have breakdown cover, bring a puncture kit, enough fuel, powerbanks, chargers, and cables.

*Ride Iternary*
This Saturday the weather is great in the morning but rain is forecasted from 3pm in the Surrey Hills so this is a shorter ride on offer.
This ride takes us from Newlands Corner in the Surrey Hills through minor and single track roads to Cranleigh then Loxfood, and ending at the lovely village of Kirdford for a Coffee Stop and social. This first leg is 1hr long, just under 27 miles.
After a drink and refresh, we will set off using similar twisty minor roads to Petworth then a fast segment along the A272 to Easebourne, up the A286 to Haslemere then B and minor roads back up towards Witley, down the faster A283 back to Chiddingfold, and then through some quality minor roads back towards Cranleigh then the B2128 cutting through many villages through to the lovely village of Wonersh and ending up through a small section of single track then major A roads again back to Newlands Corner.
The second leg is longer just under 1hr 30mins covering just over 44 miles.
Kickstands up at *10:30* at Newlands Corner, the total ride time *2hr 30min and just over 70 miles*. Adding a +/- 30min break in Kirdford this will be *3hrs approx*, meaning we should be back at Newlands for *13:30* for people to have a social and head back home avoiding the poorer weather from 3pm onwards.
Nearest Petrol Stations for this ride out:-
a) Before/after meeting - Shell Burnt Common, GU23 7JY is nearest to Newlands Corner
b) If you run out during the ride there is an option twice to peel off to Shell, Cranleigh, GU6 8AE and rejoin the route.
c) Shell Topcliffe, GU3 1NA (by the Harley Dealer) is another alternative when we're near Wonersh.
