Social Bike Ride by the Wildlife Refuge

Details
Join other Fremont cyclists with Bike Fremont for a fun bike ride around the trails through and adjacent to Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge. We'll start at the Warm Springs BART West Access Plaza. Our first stop after crossing 880 using Fremont Blvd will be the wildlife refuge staging area near the end of Warren Ave. Feel free to drive and park there if you're more comfortable driving over 880. Parking is located at the staging area address 46401 Landing Rd., which is a small driveway just north of Warren on Fremont Blvd. See waypoint on the map. From there, we'll make our way around the Bay Trail by the refuge and stopping for a snack at the picnic area just off the paved trail a bit south of Auto Mall (the other waypoint on the map). From there, we'll mostly retrace our route back to BART. Total distance from Warm Springs BART and back will be about 13 miles, including about 4 miles on gravel trails, and planning for 2 hours. Essentially flat except for the I-880 overpass.
