Carbon Rich: How Soil Biology Catalyzes Human Security--potluck and discussion

Details

Global development organizations scramble to address the myriad symptoms of human insecurity. What if we fostered security at its root? Discussion led by Joanna Brown.

We'll talk about soil and gender issues at the nexus of food, water, and climate insecurity and how regenerating soil biologically via holistic management of grasslands is key to security in many parts of the world. We'll hear about impactful projects happening right now in Zimbabwe and Somalia, and funds that have been created to foster soil regeneration for climate security. Implications for women in particular will be highlighted.

Donations gratefully accepted at the meeting to help cover meetup fees and support our outreach work.
