  • Quantified Self Show & Tell (Online Meetup)

    Online event

*For security reasons, we are asking that you sign up by filling out this form (https://bit.ly/3dq25z0) rather than RSVP through Meetup. We will use this information to admit you from the Zoom "waiting room" (please show up at least 10 minutes early). It's a little bit of inconvenience that will help us keep the Zoom trolls out and create a safe and pleasant environment for everyone else.*

    Please RSVP here: https://bit.ly/3dq25z0.

Please join us for an online event on self-observation where we share ideas, tools and experiments with the global Quantified Self community. After the great showing for our event on the 16th, we wanted to have another one with a time that's better suited for our European friends. This event will be co-hosted with organizers from the QS Copenhagen, Netherlands and Stockholm communities.

This meeting will take place online in Zoom. We'll have our regular show&tell format where people share what they learned from their self-tracking projects. Presentations will be in English.

If you have a project you would like to share, please let us know when you sign up here: https://bit.ly/3dq25z0

    Here's our agenda:
    - Start letting people in from the waiting room
    - Intro and Announcements
    - Presentations
(Since presentations come from the people who sign up, we'll add them here as they come in)
    - Wrap-up & Group Conversation

Where do our talks come from? They come from you! Do you have a personal self-tracking story to share? Please let us know by filling out the form here when you sign up: https://bit.ly/3dq25z0.

If you want to let us know that you have a project to share, but you have already RSVP'd through the form, simply fill it out again and mention the project.

You can let these three questions guide your presentation:
What did you do? How did you do it? What did you learn?

Here are examples from previous Quantified Self events:
-Quantifying My Phd: Pomodoros And Productivity (https://quantifiedself.com/show-and-tell/?project=1112)
-The Impact of a Five-Day Fast on My Cholesterol Levels (https://quantifiedself.com/show-and-tell/?project=1110)
-How Work Distractions Affect My Focus
    (https://quantifiedself.com/show-and-tell/?project=1120)
-Learning From My Excuses for not Exercising (https://quantifiedself.com/show-and-tell/?project=1091)

This event is being cross-posted with other Quantifed Self meetups.

    THEME
In October the documentary Unnatural Selection aired on Netflix. This 4 part serie is about genetic modification with CRISPR/cas9. Besides the usage in the scientific and medical community, the serie also zooms in on do-it-yourself biohackers like Josiah Zayner and Tristan Robberts.

During the interactive talk we discuss the different themes of the serie. For example:
    - the impact of CRISPR/cas9 on science
    - the usage of CRISPR/css9 in healthcare
    - the ethics of DIY biohacking

To attend you do not need to see the serie.
