Biohacker meeting with UNSW BIOMOD

Using the self assembly of DNA, bionanotechnologists have attempted to create a nanoscale vessel for drug delivery to control the release of drugs, improve efficacy, and minimise dosage. But how do we get the drug inside the vessel in the first place?
Team Tiny Trap, Australia’s only BIOMOD team, has come up with a unique solution. With a spring-loaded jaw and a rigid brace, we’ve made what’s effectively a tiny molecular trap – able to capture any molecule, ready for release, anywhere in the body.
