Come join us for our July Biotech Beach and Beer small event at the beach!
The plan is to get a firepit on Fiesta Island, bring a BBQ, cook some burgers and/or hot dogs etc, drink some beverages, and share some good times. The actual location is shared the day of when we get the fire pit, as they are first come/first serve.
We will try to get a firepit around 1-2 PM. The official start time is 5:30PM, but you can come by anytime you want after we have the location. The plan is to stay until the SeaWorld drone show is done - there are no more fireworks.
Note - alcohol is not legally permitted, yet everyone seems to be drinking on the beach. Please bring some hop and yeast type beverages for yourself and to share, in CANS only, and try to keep them out of sight. Absolutely no glass at the beach.
Because of the fire pit location, size is limited to ~40-50 people.
If you can bring one of the following to share:
Beverages, with EtOH in them or not - NO GLASS
Wood for fire pit
Food, either for BBQ, or another potluck type item
Chips and/or salsa/guac
I will bring a propane BBQ, and a reasonably large cooler with ice in it to keep drinks cold, plus some firewood to get us started.
