It is my pleasure to announce we are bringing back by popular demand our Flag Ship Networking Event. Join us on February 26th for our first event after a long hiatus. More events will follow very soon, thank you for all your support.
Please join the DC/MD/VA Biotechnology meet-up group for "Beers, Biotechnology and Networking". This happy hour style event is free and open to all. Food and Drinks are available for purchase off of the restaurant's happy hour menu. You are welcome to arrive at any time and leave early.
30-second elevator introductions! At 6:00 pm each member who would like the opportunity will be given 30 seconds to introduce themselves to the group.
In between 30-minute networking sessions, we will be holding 4-minute speeches in the loose format of TED Talks. If you would like to volunteer or nominate someone to give one of these speeches please contact Moe Blackman at MichaelBlackmanDC@gmail.com . The topic is yours to choose as long as it is 4 minutes or less and about the Biotechnology industry.
The cost of this event is FREE, to show your support please tip the Bartenders and or Servers from the restaurant really well.
In addition, we are always looking for corporate sponsors for this event, please contact Moe Blackman at MichaelBlackmanDC@gmail.com if you are interested in sponsoring this or future events.
Metro Stop: The restaurant is .5 miles from the Bethesda Metro Station, which is on the red line and one-stop south of NIH.
Walking from NIH: Flanagan's Harp & Fiddle is .4 miles south of campus if leaving from the National Library of Medicine (Building 38).
Parking: There are both metered street parking and public garage parking in the in the surrounding area. We recommend using the parking garage, it is only a few dollars for the entire evening when you park on the top levels of the garage. Lower levels of the garage limit parking to two hours so please park on the top level.
