Urban Hike - Wakefield Black History Walking Tour

I participated in an MLK event in Wakefield this year and found out about this walking tour. It is Wakefield's inaugural African American Heritage Walking Tour. They will share stories and visit the sites of Doss Freeman, Charles and Virginia Remond, and Josephine Courtney. Tour Starts and Ends on the Steps of Beebe Library.

Some of you may remember when he did a Black History tour of Boston. We learned so much! I'm very interested to see what these researchers have learned about Black History in their town!
Remember, my role here is completely social. We are all responsible for our own safety.
Bring water, snacks, and an adventurous attitude! Remember, I'm not a trained guide. I'm just a girl who likes to hike, but doesn't want to hike alone! LOL I also am doing my part to get people of color together and out on the trails!
Guests are welcome whether BIPOC or not. Be sure they understand the risks and that they are also held under the liability release below. Also be sure they have the equipment they need to keep things safe and fun.
