Wachusett: Echo Lake, High Meadow, Jack Frost, Mountain House - Leisurely Pace
Details
Let’s go back to Wachusett! Disclaimer: I haven’t done elevation in a while as I’m been recovering, so it may be slow going. Anyone who wants to ease in to hiking a mountain may want to jump in on this hike! This route is 2.7 miles to the summit and back, according to All Trails. So it’s a short distance and we’ll go at a pace comfortable for everyone in the group. No one gets left behind!
We’ll chill at the summit for a snack and to enjoy the view. The ending time is not guaranteed. It’s just a guess.
This is a mountain, so even though most snow and ice is melted around our towns, it’s possible there’s still some on the mountain. Comments from 3 weeks ago said spikes were required the whole way. There are no comments more recent than that.
Bring water, snacks, and an adventurous attitude! Remember, I'm not a trained guide. I'm just a girl who likes to hike, but doesn't want to hike alone! LOL I also am doing my part to get people of color together and out on the trails!
Guests are welcome whether BIPOC or not. Be sure they understand the risks and that they are also held under the liability release below. Also be sure they have the equipment they need to keep things safe and fun.
