Hey everyone!

Let’s go explore the wonders of Whitaker Ponds this Monday! Whitaker’s been host to a couple of fun surprises this Fall, including a large group of Northern Shovelers and a small group of Greater Yellowlegs. Other recent notables include a Eurasian Wigeon who pops in and out, a second Wilson’s Snipe who’s found a favorite log, and the ever so elegant Northern Pintail who might come back for a brief hello.

After we’ve walked the ponds and gathered some moments of inspiration, we’ll head to the gazebo for a half hour study session to lock in some of our learning. After a series of prompting questions, participants will have an opportunity to share what they learned about a chosen bird so we can all enhance our knowledge together. Bring a field guide, a pen, and a notebook if you can!
