Big Sit: Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day at this urban birding gem. On this Spring morning, we may spot Osprey flying ahead and hear the songs of Black-headed Grosbeaks and our other migrating birds!

Drop by Whitaker Ponds anytime between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. and perch with us as long as you’d like. Registration is not required. There is no seating available. Please bring your own camp chair.

New to birding? Birder Naturalists will be available to share all their birdyness.
Accessible parking available in the parking lot along with one ADA portable toilet.

We’ll meet at the parking lot. If you join us later, the Big Sit spot is located halfway around the loop trail, about 1/2 mile in, on the skinny isthmus between the ponds.
