Summer Birds, Damselflies, & Beers Walk

Details

While biking to work along Coal Creek this morning, an ebony jewelwing damselfly fluttered across the trail—a gentle reminder that we’re in peak season for spotting these iridescent beauties in Boulder County.
For the past few summers, we’ve gathered to enjoy an evening walk along Coal Creek in search of damselflies. This year, due to bridge construction at our usual spot, we’ll shift downstream—but not to worry, I’ve already scouted some great new pockets where these winged gems are still showing up. Birding’s been pretty solid there too.

Let’s meet at Sanitas’ Lafayette Taproom at 5 PM. We’ll set out on foot from there for a relaxed summer stroll. Afterward, we’ll return to Sanitas to enjoy food, drinks, and conversation outdoors as the light fades.
Come enjoy one of those fleeting summer nights—these damselflies won’t be around much longer!
