Join us for the last Birding and Beers outing of 2025 as we celebrate the holiday season with some birding along the South Platte River close to 88th Avenue.

This stretch of the Platte provides important refuge for winter ducks including Mallard, goldeneyes (Barrow's and Common), American Wigeon, Northern Shoveler, Green-winged Teal, Ring-necked Duck, and mergansers. A variety of raptors including Northern Harrier, Red-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, and Bald Eagle are possible.

Where to meet: Parking lot just south of the intersection of 88th Avenue and Colorado Blvd. We'll be walking along flat trails for as far as we can get before we have to break and head over to the holiday party at FlyteCo.

Come dressed for winter weather (layers, foot and hand warmers).

We have multiple leaders lined up so we'll split into smaller groups for better viewing and group interactions.
