Birding at Belmar Park & Beers at Old 121
Details
Join us for a special Birding & Beers outing to celebrate the start of spring migration!
Pre-birding, we encourage everyone to stop by the Denver Field Ornithologists’ Gear Up & Get Out Sale (details here: https://dfobirds.org/Projects/Events.aspx) before heading out for a relaxed bird walk. Sheridan, Founder of Birding & Beers, will be there representing Reefs to Rockies. Stop by and say "hi!"
Our birding route will follow the flat, easy trail around Kountze Lake, where we’ll look for nesting species and recently returned migrants, a sure sign that spring is underway. eBird Hotspot.
After about 1.5 hours of birding, we’ll gather nearby at Ye Olde 121 Public House (1057 S Wadsworth Blvd, Suite 60) for drinks and snacks.
It’s a great chance to connect with fellow birders, support local conservation, and enjoy a laid-back spring outing.
Plan to meet at the parking lot east of Kountze Lake. From Alameda and Wadsworth go south on Wadsworth, turn west at the light on West Ohio Ave. Drive two blocks to the parking lot.
