Migrant Traps of I-40 (and beyond): Saturday, September 17th at 7:00am. Meet at the birding hotspot known as Babbit Tank off East I-40 (Exit at Buffalo Range Rd, go South, park in dirt area to the left - searchable on Apple and Google Maps, 35°07'25.3"N 111°11'10.3"W) for Shorebirds.

Then we’ll caravan to Meteor Crater RV Park (only bathroom of the day) and bird for approx. another hour.

Around 9:30-10:00, those who wish to continue may caravan to John Lakes Playa, if the road allows, or Raymond Ranch Wildlife Area with stops at water tanks along the way.

Total time for Field Trip is approx. 4 – 5 hours could be longer depending upon the participants' wishes (excluding return trip). Those who don't want to go on, are welcome to split!

Bring water, snacks, hat & sunscreen, etc. Be prepared to walk uneven, muddy ground around water holes.
