Bird Walk | Verde Valley Property Owners Nature Preserve, Cottonwood, AZ
Meet at the Del Rio pond at 8 AM to look at waterfowl, wild and domestic.
Along the river, we will look for towhees, sparrows, flycatchers, warblers as well as the larger denizens in the cottonwoods.
Date: Thursday November 13th, 2025
Time: 8:00–10:30 AM
Meeting Point: Meet at the Del Rio pond at 8 AM to look at waterfowl, wild and domestic.
We will then caravan a short distance to the intersection of Cayuse and Comanche where we will walk a mostly flat trail along the river.
Directions: Take route 260 east out of Cottonwood. Turn left on Del Rio and travel .2 mile to the pond. There are no toilets.
What to Bring: Binoculars, sturdy shoes, water, hat, sunscreen, snack
About the Location: Trail is easy and mostly flat approximately one mile.
