Overview

Join a friendly, citizen-science bird-count to learn, contribute to conservation, and connect with fellow birders of all levels.

Details

The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is a long-standing citizen science tradition where volunteers across the Americas count birds during the holiday season, helping track population trends and inform conservation efforts. The Northern Arizona Audubon Society (NAAS) runs four local CBCs each year, welcoming birders of all skill levels.

Join us for the Camp Verde CBC on Sunday, December 21. You can participate as a section leader, a team member, a feeder watcher at your home, or by birding in your neighborhood — no experience necessary!
To get involved, contact [kay@birdnaas.org](mailto:kay@birdnaas.org). Once you sign up you will receive more information about your role, location and times.

Thank you for helping track birds in Northern Arizona! Your observations contribute to a century-long tradition of citizen science and help guide critical conservation efforts for our local bird populations.
