Bird Walk | Clarkdale Wastewater Treatment Plant
Join us for a productive winter bird walk through ponds, river edges, and washes at the Clarkdale Wastewater Treatment Plant—an unexpectedly rich birding site. We’ll walk a loop around ponds, river areas, and a wash. Expect a variety of wintering birds and excellent opportunities for photography.
Date: Thursday, January 22, 2026
Time: 8:30–10:30 AM
Meeting Point: Clarkdale Wastewater Treatment Plant
Directions: Travel on South Broadway between Cottonwood and Clarkdale. Take the first right after the road to Tuzigoot, marked 375 / 375A. Park at the end of the road near the gravel pile.
What to Bring: Binoculars, camera, spotting scope (recommended), water, snack, sturdy walking shoes.
About the Location: We’ll walk a loop around ponds, river areas, and a wash. Expect some hills and cobbled terrain. No bathrooms on site.
