Hey Flockers! After a very long hiatus we are happy to announce our first bird walk in over two years. There are lots of exciting species to be discovered this time of year so we're heading out to Pena Adobe Regional Park for some good old fashioned birding. Bring your favorite brew, or wine, or non-alcoholic beverage which we'll enjoy after the walk. There's a museum on site that we can visit if they're open that day, too. It is highly recommended that everyone bring plenty of water and a light snack. See you there!

Dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes
Bring water and snacks
We will have spare binoculars - let us know if you need some
Difficulty: Easy!
Duration: 3-ish hours of birding, and an hour or so after for beers and museum time

Popular question: Why are your meetups so early?

Answer: There's a reason for that whole "early bird" saying. While some humans are not morning people, the majority of birds rise early to find food. So, while 8:30 on a Sunday morning isn't normally considered social hour, it's the best time to see the most birds in a small window of time. And that's what we want! Lots of birds!
