About us
If you can look through a book of British birds and be impressed by the number of species and plumages which, according to the book, are out there in the countryside; if you are motivated to go out and try to see as many of them as possible for yourself; and if you might enjoy this activity in the company of other people; then this Meetup group might be for you.
Most Meetups are walks with lots of stops in an attractive countryside or coastal location. The stops are, of course, to look at (and for) wild birds. The most useful tool is a decent pair of binoculars, but if you don't have any, we can probably lend you a pair. Photography is entirely optional, but many of us carry cameras too. Meetups usually also involve a café or pub stop.
Meetups are held around East Anglia, and occasionally further afield. They are typically only scheduled a week or two in advance, so if none are currently scheduled, that doesn't mean there won't be another one soon. Please feel free to join the group, even if it's just to lurk and get a better idea of what the events are like, and/or to look at our photos.
