🐦 Birdsong Slow Walks Gentle, mostly silent walks in nature using birdsong and natural sounds as anchors to the present moment. No pressure, no rush, no experience needed. Just noticing together.
🔭 Social Birdwatching A casual, social birding experience for anyone curious about the birds around us. We move slowly, share sightings, use eBird and Merlin to identify together, and contribute to citizen science. Come for the birds, stay for the company.
🍽️ Mindful Eating A mindfulness meditation practice that brings full, gentle attention to the experience of nourishment. We gather around a table, slow down, and let food become an anchor for awareness — together.
🙌 Reiki Sessions Individual outdoor Nature Reiki sessions and indoor one-to-one sessions available by booking. Focused on deep rest and nervous system regulation, with a gentle Reiki presence held throughout.

Mindful Eating Experience 🍽️🌿
What if eating could be a meditation?
Most of us eat on autopilot: scrolling, rushing, barely tasting. Mindful Eating is the practice of slowing down and bringing full, gentle attention to the experience of nourishment. The colours on the plate. The first smell. The texture. The warmth. The taste that arrives before you even expect it.
It sounds simple. And it is. But like all mindfulness practices, simple doesn't mean easy, and the rewards are quietly profound.
🌿 What is Mindful Eating?
Mindful Eating is a form of mindfulness meditation practice that invites us to:
- Slow down and engage all the senses during a meal
- Notice hunger, fullness, and the body's signals with curiosity rather than judgment
- Bring presence and gratitude to the act of eating
- Let food become an anchor for awareness just as birdsong does on our walks
This experience is also part of my requirements for my Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification which asks me to teach a wide range of mindfulness practices. What started with a Birdsong Walk has now grown into something more expansive. This is the next step. 🌿
🍽️ Where we're gathering
We'll be sharing this experience at a restaurant that is close to my heart: Kasarap Filipino Kitchen (@kasarapbcn).
I moved to Barcelona from the Philippines about 10 years ago, and every time I walk through the doors of Kasarap, something in me exhales. It feels like home. I imagine you know that feeling, the one you get when you find a little piece of your own country somewhere far from it.
I would love to share Filipino food with you. If you haven't tried it yet, I truly cannot wait for this to be your first time.
Filipino food is communal by nature — dishes are placed in the middle of the table and shared — which makes it a beautiful, fitting setting for a mindfulness practice rooted in connection.

The same grounded, attentive presence from our outdoor experiences, brought indoors with natural elements woven in to keep that connection to nature alive.
A good way to wind down after work, or to experience Reiki in a more private, contained setting if you're not quite ready for an outdoor session.

You’re invited to receive a gentle, individual Reiki session held outdoors in a calm, natural setting in Montjuïc.
These sessions are offered as a quiet, supportive space to rest, reset, and reconnect — held slowly, with care, clarity, and consent.

### ✨ What to expect
Each session lasts 30 minutes and includes:
- 10 minutes of brief conversation and a short grounding meditation
- 20 minutes of hands-on Reiki (placing my hands on you, always with consent)
- A calm, held space — no pressure to talk or “experience” anything in a certain way
The session takes place outdoors, either sitting or lying down on a mat, surrounded by nature.
I’ll provide:
- A mat for lying down
- A light cover/blanket
- Headphones and gentle music
You’re also welcome to:
- Bring your own mat, blanket, or cushion
- Listen to your own relaxing playlist on your phone

### 🌸 What is Reiki?
Reiki, as offered here, is based on Usui Reiki Ryōhō, the traditional Japanese system founded by Mikao Usui.
It is a gentle, hands-on practice that supports relaxation, grounding, and nervous system regulation. Rather than trying to fix or change anything, Reiki offers conditions for the body and mind to rest and rebalance naturally.
Sessions are held as a contemplative practice, with emphasis on presence, listening, and consent.
People experience Reiki in different ways. This may include:
- Deep relaxation
- A sense of calm or warmth
- Emotional settling
- Or simply the experience of resting
There’s nothing you need to believe, visualise, or achieve — you can simply rest and receive.
Reiki sessions offered here are not a substitute for medical or therapeutic care.

### 🔁 Cancellations & no-shows (Free sessions)
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a free session.
Same-day cancellations or no-shows may result in the session not being rebookable, as these time slots are reserved specifically for you and cannot be offered to others at short notice.
If you cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice, I’m happy to help reschedule, subject to availability.
Weather or facilitator cancellation:
If a session needs to be cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances on my end, we’ll reschedule for another suitable time.***

Birdwatching is, at its heart, a practice of attention. You slow down, you look up, and suddenly the world has more in it than you noticed before.
Grab your binoculars, cameras, and curiosity — it’s time for a relaxed amateur birdwatching walk around Montjuïc.
This is a casual, social birding meet-up for anyone who enjoys watching, identifying, and photographing birds. We’ll move slowly through the area, stopping often to scan green spaces and trees, sharing sightings and tips as we go. The usual birds in the area would be: Hoopoe, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Robin, Long-tailed Tit and who knows? We might spot more!
