Welcome to Birdwatchers of Scenic City, a friendly birdwatching community for Chattanooga and all surrounding areas.
Whether you’re in Chattanooga, Ooltewah, Hixson, Cleveland, Signal Mountain, East Brainerd, Ringgold, or anywhere nearby, you’re welcome here. If you can get to the meetup spot, you’re part of the flock.
We explore parks, greenways, riversides, and nature trails throughout the region. Our pace is relaxed, our group is friendly, and our mission is simply to enjoy nature, birds, and good company.
Expect:
- Gentle walks (usually 1–2 hours)
- Bird spotting with binoculars (bring your own or borrow if someone has extras!)
- Perfect for beginners
- A mix of local species and seasonal migrants
- Occasional sunrise or golden-hour outings
- Optional post-walk coffee at local cafés
