Lakefront Bird Walk at Booker T. Washington State Park
Details
Join us for a relaxed spring morning birdwatching walk at Booker T. Washington State Park in Harrison.
This beautiful lakeside park sits along Chickamauga Lake and offers a mix of shoreline, open water, and wooded habitat. These environments attract a variety of birds, especially in the spring when activity begins to increase, and migrants start moving through the area.
We will walk at a slow, comfortable pace and stop often to watch and listen for bird activity along the lake and in nearby tree lines. Spring mornings are a wonderful time to experience birdsong and observe birds as they move through the park.
This outing is welcoming for beginners as well as experienced birdwatchers who simply want to enjoy a peaceful morning outdoors with fellow bird lovers.
We will meet near the main parking area by the lake and picnic area before beginning our walk along the shoreline and nearby paths.
