Welcome back, we are in-person again!

We'll have a catch-up on what's happening in the world of .Net and a talk by Matt Lacey on Modern XAML. We will be at our very cool new venue The Jointworks in the Jewellery Quarter - pictures here.

XAML has come under criticism in recent years, but it is still the primary way of creating mobile and desktop UIs in .NET apps. Some of the criticism is valid, however, rather than abandon it, we can use it more effectively. By reflecting recommendations and best practices from other programming languages, we can create XAML documents that are shorter, more descriptive, easier to understand, and easier to maintain. We’ll look at how we can write more modern XAML and the tools that are available to help.

Bio: Matt Lacey is an international speaker, author, and has been developing software since the 90’s. He currently spends probably too much time thinking about developer tools and helping other developers build better software.
He blogs at https://mrlacey.com/ and tweets as @mrlacey
