#PBIBRUM - November meetup with Damien O'Connor and Bernat Agulló Roselló
Join us at the Robert Walters offices for the #PBIBRUM November meetup!
Agenda:
17:45 - Doors open
18:00 - Intros
18:05 - Damien O'Connor: Fabric - the other stuff
So, you’ve been working with Microsoft Fabric for a while now - maybe even a few years. You know your Lakehouse from your Warehouse, your Delta from your Activator. But what else is there?
This session will dive into some of the lesser known features of Fabric with the aim of bringing them into the light.
We’ll cover:
- Data Agent: An easy to configure chat with your data experience
Copilot in Data Pipelines: Accelerate pipeline development with AI-assisted authoring, documentation and error resolution
- AI Functions: Learn how to use ai_extract, ai_classify, and ai_generate_response to bring intelligence directly into your data flows.
- GraphQL API: Discover how to build modern, flexible data applications with Fabric’s GraphQL endpoint.
- And more
Whether you're a seasoned Fabric user or just curious about what lies beyond the Lakehouse, this session will help you uncover the “other stuff” that makes Fabric a truly end-to-end data platform.
18:50 - Break - free pizza and drinks 🍕🍸
19:10 - Bernat Agulló Roselló: Tabular Editor C# Scripting in Visual Studio with GitHub Copilot
If you are not a C# Jedi, trying to write C# scripts for Tabular Editor in Tabular Editor 2 is quite of a challenge. At least it was for me. With time I found out how to bring development over to Visual Studio, and how to bring the code back easily into tabular Editor.
In this session I demo how to set up the environment and start coding away in a much more confortable way with the help of GitHub Copilot.
📍Location: Robert Walters, 9th Floor, 11 Brindley Place, Birmingham, B1 2LP
