Quite a few of us are going to this so I thought I'd stick it on MeetUp in case anyone else fancied joining us.

Tickets are available here for £5:

Doors are at 6 pm, show starts at 7 - try to get there for then and we'll sort out meeting up on arrival.

We'll be treated to four live acts representing the future of heavy music in the UK at a special BBC celebration of the influence of Black Sabbath in Birmingham.

Rising stars Cherrydead, Gans, and Meatdripper, who all hail from across the West Midlands, will light up the stage at the historic Town Hall. Spanning sludge, stoner, doom, nu metal and drawing on hardcore, punk, hard rock and other ends of the heavy music spectrum, the four acts - including two all-women line-ups - will chart the cutting edge of what is now a global music genre.

The night also promises film screenings, an industry panel discussion, and DJ sets - all exploring heavy music in the UK and the role Black Sabbath continue to have on global metal culture and community.
