North Wales (Summer Solstice) Hike – Craig Lwyd & Cadair Idris Circular

Details

Join us on the "longest day of the year" for a circular hike taking in the ruggedness of Cadair Idris, one of Wales’ most scenic peaks of the Snowdownia National Park range, and the quieter beauty of Craig Lwyd. This 9 miles plus, route offers a perfect blend of dramatic mountain scenery, sweeping views over Llyn Cau.
We’ll start the day with an ascent that leads us into the heart of this fab mountain, winding up towards the dramatic ridge. After soaking in the views from Cadair Idris' summit, we’ll loop around to Craig Lwyd — a lesser-known but equally rewarding vantage point — before descending through scenic upland terrain.

Cadair Idris — meaning “Chair of Idris” — is one of Wales’ most iconic and storied mountains, rising dramatically at the southern edge of Snowdonia at 893m ...
Please NOTE: Times stated of the hike may differ..we may take a few breaks or change the route depending on the weather ..also we will be going for food and drinks after...there is a possible chance also that some of us may stay over.
