Kinver Edge, Enville Estate/Stourton - 11Mile Sunday Circular

Details
Kinver Edge and its surroundings are always great during the Summer, a Sunday 11 mile walk would be something nice and moderate to do in July.
Begin your walk from a parking area located on Bridgnorth Road, close to the historic Stourton Castle — once a medieval hunting lodge and now a Grade II listed site.
Lets set off along the towpath of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, which winds through peaceful woodland. After this tranquil stretch, the route leads you across open fields and into the shaded expanse of the million woodland.
Continue through surrounding farmland until you reach the striking landscape of Kinver Edge. Here, the trail runs along the wooded escarpment, offering sweeping views of the countryside. As you descend into Kinver village, where we can stop for a pint/coffee or refreshment of your choice!
The route then follows the River Stour, guiding you back toward the starting point. Expect a varied mix of terrain, including woodland paths, bridleways, and quiet rural lanes. Be sure to wear decent walking footwear, especially in wet conditions if the ground may be muddy, and take extra caution when walking along road sections too which may be involved. Note , we may stop for lunch in between or a cafe/pub stop , bring plenty of refreshments and snacks too.
We are leaving this as a moderate walk compared to some that we have done recently so the walk is dog friendly.
