Hands-On Workshop: Build a Generative AI Web App with AWS

New for 2024, BHM AWS is back as a free in-person event, meeting quarterly at Birmingham's Innovation Depot. Each session will feature insightful speakers, an opportunity to meet fellow local tech enthusiasts and will be paired with an instructor led workshop.

This quarter, we welcome instructors Chris Bladon and Meera Balasubramaniam, Solution Architects with AWS.

In this workshop, we will walk through Bedrock fundamentals, including the API, prompt engineering techniques, privacy capabilities, and end-to-end Generative AI application-building experience. Each participant will build a RAG-oriented GenAI chatbot in Amazon Q, to find and summarize portions of documents in a private knowledge base. Finally, we’ll explore the GenAI capabilities of Amazon Q in QuickSight to build easy and quick visualizations. Come away with a generative AI application ready to be deployed in your business!
