Accelerating Productivity w/ Advanced CI/CD, Management & Observability Tools

This quarter, we welcome Raj Vedula, VP - Cloud Enablement with EBSCO Information Services.

In this presentation, Raj will explore how advanced CI/CD tools, multiple AWS accounts, and enhanced observability tools can significantly accelerate developer productivity. We'll examine how these technologies can reduce cognitive load, lower expenses, and improve Mean Time to Acknowledge (MTTA) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). By adopting these strategies, organizations can streamline development processes, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve faster, more reliable software delivery. Additionally, we will introduce newer SaaS CI/CD providers, set up best practices in AWS account management, and reveal the true cost of application development and maintenance. Raj Vedula is a Transformation Leader with over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in infrastructure technology, product management, cloud migration, and vendor management. He currently focuses on workload infrastructure areas, which include data management in Oracle and SQL, as well as leveraging EKS, ECS, and serverless platforms, while enhancing developer experience using SaaS CI/CD solutions and observability tools. Known for his pragmatic and execution-driven approach, Raj excels as a digital transformation evangelist, consistently communicating clear visions, solving complex problems, and fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures. His deep technology knowledge, business acumen, and agile decision-making skills have driven significant productivity and profitability gains.

Raj holds a Master's degree from UAB and resides in the Birmingham area. He leads the Cloud Enablement group for EBSCO Information Services headquartered in Boston, MA, serving research and academic institutions worldwide. Outside of his professional endeavors, Raj enjoys cooking, gardening, and practicing mindfulness.
