As usual, we will be hosting the event on Zoom, all you need to do to join the event is to download the zoom app to your mobile, tablet or laptop and click the link at 6.30pm.
During the event we also use our Slack chat channel for questions, interaction and posting links/useful additional information etc. Whilst not required, it's a great way to get extra info and chat with fellow attendees and get some background info/useful links, so:

This month we are focusing on plugins for WordPress. Plugins provide extra functionality to your WordPress site, but with over 58,000 plugins hosted on wordpress.org alone, and countless ones that aren't, hopefully we'll be answering some questions around what to look for in a good plugin and share some gems on plugins we all use.
No matter what level you use WordPress at, this is a great meetup topic to kick 2021 off with and you are sure to go away with some new things to try out and some great discussions around what people are using on their WordPress websites.

Taking inspiration from Kimb Jones (who was almost obliged to do this presentation at various UK WordCamps at one point!), Jonny will be talking through how to select plugins and important things to look out for. He'll also show a selection of tried and tested, high-quality plugin suggestions - from simple authoring helpers to more developer-focused plugins.
