LatAm BISH Bash is a series of meetings and networking events that connect engineers, researchers, students, and companies working on speech, acoustics, and audio processing.
In this meeting, we will have three short presentations by Breno Matos, Felipe Marra, and Lucas Somacal, who will review their work published during LAMIR 2024.

Find the presenter's bio below:
Breno Matos is a data scientist at Kunumi working with LLMs. He holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and is a recipient of the Google Latin America Research Award. With a background in computer science and experience from research labs to tech companies, his research spans natural language processing, misinformation detection, and online phenomena analysis. He will present his latest work, which explores the role of TikTok in the re-popularization of older songs.
Felipe Marra is a Master's Student in Deep Learning at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). Visiting researcher and member of the Mosaic Group at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Currently interested in multimodal architectures comprehending video and audio.
Lucas Somacal is a data scientist at the Sadosky Foundation and Quantit, a start-up specialized in AI. He obtained an MSc. in Computer Science at the University of Buenos Aires. His master's thesis in music style transfer was presented in LAMIR 2024, and will be the subject of his presentation in Bish BASH. His research interests cover optimization and machine learning problems, and their ethical implications. He is also a musician, and currently a student of singing and orchestral conduction at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes de Argentina
