Boundary Peak + Montgomery Peak

Located within the incredible Boundary Peak Wilderness with forests, tundra, and sandy mountain ridges, Boundary Peak, the highest peak in Nevada is a strenuous day hike.
The hike will include both Boundary Peak (13,147 ft.) and Montgomery Peak (13,447 ft.) via the Queen Mine Trail.
Advanced hikers only, please.
From Hwy 6 to Queen Canyon Road. 4-wheel drive or AWD is recommended and note addition 4 miles rt may be added if road is not passable to Queen Mine Trail.
Please be well prepared with good sturdy hiking boot/shoes, hat, gloves, sun screen, bug repellent (never know), water, snacks/lunch, optional hiking poles, etc. Note there is no water along the trail to filter.
