Little Lakes Valley to....

Little Lakes to Morgan Pass, possibly Gem Lakes. Weather and trail conditions will determine how far we go. This is a beautiful hike in the Eastern Sierra passing by several scenic lakes, including Chickenfoot Lake, Long Lake, Mack Lake, and Heart Lake, all formed by snowmelt.
Typically the trail starts from the Mosquito Flat trailhead, located at the end of Rock Creek Road. However due to road conditions Rock Creek Road is closed at the gate by the pack station. This will add about 3.0 miles rt on the hike. We will meet at the gate and hike from there.
Please be well prepared with good sturdy hiking boot/shoes, hat, gloves, sun screen, bug repellent (never know), water, snacks/lunch, optional hiking poles, crampons, etc.
