Summit Lake via Virgina Lake Trail

Trail Name: Virginia Lakes Trailhead,
This hike will provide you a tour of several alpine lakes, begin near Big Virginia Lake and then pass Blue, Cooney, Frog, and finally reaching Summit Lake. Continue to the opposite side of Summit lake to Summit Pass (10,251 ft). This is also the border for Yosemite NP. Here we will take a lunch before returning to the cars. The geology around Summit Lake is fascinating, you are surrounded by bands of orange, black, red, and grey rock.

Please be well prepared with good sturdy hiking boots/shoes, hat, gloves, sun block, bug repellant (never know) water, snacks/lunch hiking poles (optional), micro spikes (optional) and essential gear.
