Bit-Borrel is back, without restrictions! It's been a while since our last edition, but on Friday April 22nd we're meeting up again at Reconcept! Prepare for a night of fun and good conversations. What better way to start the weekend?

ABOUT BIT-BORREL

Bit-Borrels are social events for developers and IT specialists around Groningen. No recruitment, no tech talks and no formalities, just some fun, drinks and food among people who share a passion for IT. Maybe you'll run into some former colleagues here, or maybe you'll make some new friends. Wether you want to talk about your latest cool project, new developments in your favourite framework, or get some input on a complex issue you've been working on, you can be sure to find some like-minded people here. You don't have to worry about being too nerdy or introverted, we want to provide a friendly environment where you feel welcome!

Anyone with an interest in software development or IT in general is welcome to join, but please keep in mind these are explicitely NOT recruitment events. We want to provide everyone with a safe and confortable environment to chat and have fun. There are plenty of other events for recruitment, this is just not one of them.

Bit-Borrels take place 2-4 times a year, depending on our own busy schedules and our sponsors' availabilities. All our events will be posted here on Meetup and on our other social media channels.

JOINING A BIT-BORREL

To join a Bit-Borrel, please sign up for the event on our Meetup page. There's usually a limited capacity, so please only sign up when you know you will be coming. If you can't make it after all, please remove your signup again to make space for others.

CODE OF CONDUCT & RULES

We don't have a lengthy code of conduct or list of rules written out, but in general just keep it friendly and respectful. We want everyone to have fun and feel comfortable at our Bit-Borrels. If we feel you're causing others to have a bad time, we will ask you to leave. If for some reason you do not feel safe at any time, please let one of the organisers know immediately.

Other than that there is only one strict rule: no recruitment. Feel free to talk (enthousiastically) about your projects or even the company you work at, but if we find that you're actively trying to recruit people or set up job interviews, we will ask you to leave and ban you from joining in the future.
